CareerScout Terms of Service

1. Provider and scope

CareerScout is operated by InSight Consulting LLC. These terms apply to the CareerScout ChatGPT plugin and its related product and support pages. They do not govern separate consulting engagements. By using CareerScout, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

CareerScout helps you explore job opportunities by evaluating listings against supplied job-search criteria and searching a catalog of public job listings. It assists your own decision-making; it is not an employer, employment offer, or guarantee of placement.

3. Price and access

CareerScout is free and does not require a separate CareerScout user account. ChatGPT access and third-party services are subject to their own eligibility requirements, availability, terms, and any applicable charges. You must satisfy those requirements and be legally able to use the service.

4. Your responsibilities

Provide accurate information that you are authorized to share. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, government identifiers, payment-card information, or unrelated sensitive information. Use CareerScout lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, bypass security controls, overload its infrastructure, or misuse another person’s information.

5. Review results before acting

Listings can be incomplete, inaccurate, changed, or unavailable. Verify salary, location, travel, qualifications, and all other requirements with the employer before applying. AI-generated explanations and matching assessments may contain errors. CareerScout does not guarantee suitability, listing completeness, an interview, an offer, or employment.

6. Third-party services

ChatGPT, OpenAI, employer websites, and application platforms are separate services governed by their own terms and privacy practices. When you follow an application link, you interact with that employer or platform directly. A link does not establish an endorsement. CareerScout is operated by InSight Consulting LLC; its availability through ChatGPT does not mean OpenAI guarantees its results.

7. Content and branding

You retain any rights you hold in information you provide. Submit only content you are authorized to provide for the requested processing. Job listings and third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. These terms do not grant rights to use InSight Consulting LLC or CareerScout branding beyond ordinary use of the service.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains the information CareerScout processes, service providers, technical logs, support-email retention, and privacy requests. Résumés and conversation context in ChatGPT are governed separately by OpenAI’s practices.

9. Availability and changes

Features, data sources, and availability may change. We may suspend access when needed to address misuse, security, legal requirements, or maintenance. You can stop using CareerScout at any time. We may revise these terms and will post the updated effective date on this page.

10. Service limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CareerScout is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation or error-free results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
